New Books in Indian Religions

Since 2018 I have hosted New Books in Indian Religions on the New Books Network — more than 450 long-form interviews with the authors of new scholarship on the texts, philosophies, histories and practices of South Asia. The result is a running archive of the field: nearly a decade of scholarship, in the voices of the people who produced it.

Each episode gives an author an hour to explain the book in their own terms — what drove the question, what the sources gave up, and what changed in the writing. The range is the range of the field itself: the texts, philosophies and practices that shape South Asia.

The Indian Wisdom Podcast

Launched in 2024, The Indian Wisdom Podcast carries my own teaching — stories, texts and their meanings — in more than 100 episodes. It is the audio companion to The Indian Wisdom School, where the courses behind the episodes live.
